Let me introduce you to Iyana. She likes to read, shop, hang out with friends, bake, and is very laid back. She also enjoys touring museums all over the world, which by the way she has been to over ten, and she’s the count is still growing! This beauty attends Dakota High School and will be a part of the graduating class of 2023. Since the city of Taylor had been so good to me during my previous session, I had to run it back for this one. Once again, join me on another journey to Taylor Botanical Gardens and Heritage Park for Iyana’s spring senior session.
Beauty & Brains
If you ever wondered what a star high school student looks like, here is a student who exemplifies it. Iyana loves to help people in need so she does a lot of volunteering. She is the founder and president of the Black Student Union (BSU) at her school and she is also a class civic leader. She will also be graduating Cum Laude. Whew…so many accomplishments to be proud of.
We captured her cap and gown photos, but we added some flare by adding her cords and sash as a physical display of her achievements. This part of the session produced some of the most beautiful images of her gallery.
Ambition is Going to Ohio
Iyana plans to go to Kent State University to major in architecture and interior design. After she obtains her bachelor’s, she wants to get TWO master’s degrees to further her education and her career. Talk about ambition! I wish her well in her endeavors.
Nothing Like a Good Ol’ Mother-Daughter Relationship
Ok, so I first met Iyana virtually when we had our planning consult, and she is the sweetest person. I met Mom (Tyeisha) on the set the day of, and boy did I fall in love with them. I could hear them playfully fussing heading into the session and I just loved their energy. The way they interacted with one another was just hilarious. It reminded me of having a best friend, but it still showed, “I’m still Mama!” Tyeisha had me cracking up the whole session. We had a fabulous time and taking images of them together was so precious!
