So you’ve booked your senior session, now what? In today’s blog post, I am going to go through each step of the timeline so you know exactly what to expect for your senior session experience!
The LJP Senior Experience Timeline
The Senior Questionnaire
As soon as you book your session, I send out a senior questionnaire. It helps me get to know you and your vision for your photoshoot. I want you to get the photoshoot you are dreaming of, so I want to find out information to help me plan that.
Don’t worry, the questions aren’t hard! You’ll be able to tell me about yourself, your personality, your style, etc. You’ll also be able to share any and all ideas you might have for your photoshoot with me. Don’t hold back! The more you share, the more I will be able to plan the perfect shoot for you!
The Style and Prep Guide
After you complete the senior questionnaire, I will email you the Style and Prep Guide. This guide is full of helpful information to help you get ready for your session. Things like tips on what to wear, hair and makeup guidelines, nail prep, etc. It will help to get you camera ready.
The Wardrobe Consultation
After I review your questionnaire, we will have a planning consultation. This is where we will meet virtually to go over the details of your questionnaire, answer questions, get clarification, discuss locations, and start to go over your outfit selections. I will make sure that I get your vision for your shoot and make sure your outfits are coordinated with the locations we select. This is one of the most important steps of the session timeline. This consult is a total collaboration between you and me to ensure a FABULOUS photoshoot.
Reminder Email/Text
The week before you will receive a checklist that will remind you of some things to do to ensure that you will have a successful shoot.
The week of your session, I will send out an email with a reminder checklist of things to bring and some last-minute “dos”. You will also get a session reminder card detailing the location and time of our session. I love checking in with my clients before their shoot just to make sure they don’t have any last-minute questions, and to let them know I excited I am to take their photos!
The Photo Session
Yay! It’s the day of your session! All of that collaboration we did is for this exciting moment. We will meet at the location we’ve decided on and start capturing memories. I will guide you through everything so you don’t have to be nervous! It is my time to make sure you are having the best experience possible. We’ll spend our time getting the perfect shots with plenty of different poses and backgrounds so you end up with a variety of images. And the best part is all the fun and laughs we’ll share. Come ready to have a BLAST.
After the Shoot
I will be working hard to edit your photos and get your gallery together for you and your parents to view. You can also expect a sneak peek on Instagram and Facebook so be sure to follow @latoyajyadonphotography to see what I post from your session.
Once the editing is done, I will send you a link to your gallery. Here is where you will be able to download and share your images. Your gallery also has a beautifully curated shop where you will be able to customize and buy prints and products. I can help guide you to the right products and customize them. You’ve spent money on a photo session, now it’s time to decorate your home with the memories.
